Thai Massage is known as the "lazy" person's yoga. It is done on the floor, on a mat, and the client is clothed in loose clothing. Thai Massage employs stretching, pulling, and rocking techniques to relieve tension and enhance flexibility and range of motion.

The therapist uses their hands, elbows, knees, feet, and legs to move you into a series of yoga-like stretches, applies deep muscle compression, acupressure, rocking, and joint mobilization. It corrects and heals energy blockages and imbalances in the flow of energy in the body. It uses the body's energy line system known as Sen lines. There are 72 sen lines that are called energy lines in the physical body. Any form of imbalance in energy causes pain and disease.

Thai Massage originated in Buddhism. When the expansion of Buddhism moved from India into southeast Asia, word about the healing art spread out. Thai Massage's technique received a great deal of influence from both Ayurveda and Chinese medicine.
